Medium plush pile with 600 GSM is softer and works best on delicate surfaces. It can be used to remove wax and polish as well as applying spray wax.

How to Select a Microfiber Towel for Car

Microfiber towels are perfect in removing smears and dirt off the vehicle without scratching it. But how do you select the best one for your car?

How and where will you use it? Some microfiber towels are perfect for cleaning and polishing. Others are great for applying spray wax while some are good for drying.

How much are you willing to spend for a set of towels? Some microfiber towels are totally expensive while others can be purchased very cheaply.

Check the GSM. Generally speaking, higher grammage is better because it means that the towel comes with more materials per square meter making it plusher.

Check the quality of the materials. Normally, microfiber towels are made of 80% polyester and 20% polyamide. A towel with a more even ratio is better.

Check the weave type. The weave type dictates how a particular towel is best used. Some weaves are designed for cleaning a specific material or a particular surface.

How to Maintain Your Microfiber Towels

While it’s true that microfiber towels are durable, it’s still important to know how to take care of them so you’d get to use them for a long period of time.

To prevent any stain or debris from drying into the towel, put the microfiber towels in a bucket of warm water and detergent immediately after use.

Separating the microfiber towels from your regular laundry is a smart move as it requires more care. Further separating delicate towels from others is also needed to prevent cross contamination.

Your choice on what detergent to use also matters. Make sure that you use a laundry detergent that is not combined with any fabric softener.

If you love using bleach on your regular laundry, keep it away from the towels. Bleach contains harsh materials that can ruin and damage the fiber.

Using distilled white vinegar in the final wash is a great idea. It will unclog the pores of the microfiber towel and restore its softness as before.

How to Use Microfiber Towels in your Car

Microfiber towel is a must-have for car owners so they can keep their cars clean and shiny all the time. But, how do you properly use it?

Microfiber towels have different uses. It’s important to separate the towels based on how you use them. Cleaning the window surface with the same towel you used in taking off the grime or wax is unacceptable.

A best practice is to use one type of towel and one type of color at a time. This will make it easier for you to wash and dry the towels without ruining the material.

Use the Waffle Weave microfiber towels in drying the exterior of a car. The weave patterns on this towel make it easy to trap dirt and other contaminants without scratching the surface or damage the car paint.

Use the suede microfiber towels in polishing metal surfaces. The suede towel will leave an even finish and removes any blemish that’s visible in the metal.

Use huck microfiber towels for glass cleaning because it’s 100% lint free and are made of cotton. Because it’s light and thin, they can reach tiny corners and does not leave any fiber.
